- Born and raised in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany
- Completed Abitur, then lived and studied in Munich, Dublin, and London
- 2004 photography internship at Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York; master student with Frank Stewart (Cooper Union)
- Scholarship from Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia
- 2008 BFA in Photography, SCAD, Magna Cum Laude
- 2008–2015 freelance portrait and advertising photographer in New York and Los Angeles
- Since 2016 based in Stuttgart
